Hey Guys!

this is my first thread in this forum ;D

i'd like to share with you my problem. Id like to upgrade the wheels on my starex to 17s(coming from my sedan car). I'm just not sure though what is the bolt size of the starex if its 114.

also, what size of tires would be good for size 17's? Something that would still retain the load capacity of the current stock size(although I upgraded my tires from hakook to bridgestone)


oh by the way, my van is a 2007 model(the one with a big grill) 2.5 crdi

am pretty sure its not 114.3 or pcd 100... ang alam ko nasa pcd 120 x 5 ata pero alangan ata sa bmw na bolt pattern yung sa mga millenium up na models... try goin to the wheelshops they can probably help you get the right set of wheels for your ride... be sure to get rims na pang SUV wag yung pang passenger cars kasi bingkungin yung galing kotse tapus ililipat mo sa mas mabigat...

kung mag 17's ka din lang mag 18's ka na... kasi kung 17's medyo malaki pa ang gap sa wheelwells kung naka low profile ka na 50 series... kung 18's naman pagnag 50 series ka ang load index mamemaintain mo plus lalapit ng konti ang gap ng wheelwell sa tires... disavantag lang magbabago ng malaki ang riding comfort mo pagchange ka ng big wheels,, baka magsisi ka katulad ko hehe... right now am planning to modify my undersuspension to accomodate my wheel set-up di kasi designed yung wheels and tires na malaki sa ride naten...

best suited wheels na mas malaki sa stock is 16" with 235/60/r16 tires... nbasubukan ko na set-up na eto and its better than the ride and looks of the stock... pero kung 17's ka ok din naman wag mo lang benta stock mo baka magsisi ka... welcome sa HACP..!!!

just wondering why HMC change the bolt pattern sa model 98-99 vs 2000-2007. kung upgrade eto e just wondering bakit PCD114.3 pa rin ang vera cruz????? just recently i found a magwheels of a 2000 model starex and selling it for P5,500 minus trade-in of my old mags, kaso talaga pasok sa 99 model, napakamot sa right side ng ulo ang mayari ng vulcanizing shop, takang taka sya, ako naman napakamot on both sides ng ulo ko, hinayang na hinayang, hehehehehehehe. malaking gastos naman kung magpapalit ako ng hub, palit din pati drum brakes! whew!

euro specs kasi pcd 120... di ba ang design consultants ng hyundai ay galing sa europe... most probably eto reason...

oo nga bakit starex lang..... bakit tucson, santa fe at vera cruz 5x114.3.... euro design din naman lahat eto.... yun kayang grand starex 6x139 ang bolt pattern nya similar to those 6 holes on most light to heavy vehicles?

sir inde ba pwede i machine shop mo na lang yung drum lagyan ng panibagong bolt na fit sa mags? kasi yung sentra namin balak namin ni erpats gawing 5 holes kasi may mga binebenta sa evengelistang mags na pang skyline ang 5 holes sya balak namin ipamachine shop na lang yung drum and disc lagyan ng panibagong butas... sana pwede...

ren hindi naman ung drum brake ang factor, yung hub ang factor don, malayo talaga ang PCD 120 kesa sa PCD114.3 and hindi ko recomended yung panibagong butas, sakit sa ulo yan and delikado. i'll stick to the original na lang. nakakahinayang lang kc talaga ung 2000 model na mags.

yun lang! di bale na sir lalo namang popogi ang starex mo! aba lalong macompliment ang no tint policy mo sir if your wearing a bigger shoes! then after nun sir sa sobrang tuwa at lalong gumandang starex mo papamamam ka sa jayj's grill or sa macapagal... mini EB ika nga hehehe...

stick na lang ako sa project ko, yung white side wall na dunlop. dapat ang nagpapamamam e yung mga bagong pintura na naka monotone. hehehehehehehe.

iba ba talaga ang bolt patterns? bakit naman i have seen 99 models starex made to look like 2000 models with the 2000 model and up wheels? i always thought they just changed the size of the bolts to slightly bigger ones on the 2000 models and up compared to 99 models...

sir siguro nga pinalitan na yung butas ng bolt... kasi sir inde talaga kasya... sabi nga ni sir ELC pcd114 tapos sa millenium much bigger at pcd120... i also tried it before hiniram ko spare ng pinsan ko 3 years ago 03 starex nya... inde talga kasya sa lumang starex... thats life!

oo nga tama si sir abortretry... di kaya nagtrip mga designers ng hyundai...? oh kaya mas maganda nakuha nilang offer sa nagdesign nung rims na 2000 -up model...? oh di kaya sinadya nila eto para makita ang difference ng 99 models ang millenium makes...? kung iisipin naten ang rason mapliplip tayo talaga... hehe... baka nagparestud yung ibang 99 below models para ma-accomodate yung rims ng 2000 up... yung lang nakikita kong possibleng rason kung paano sila nakapag-upgrade to pcd 120... or custom made na millenium rims...

hay naku mga sir, wag nyo nang pilitin pang isipin yan, masisira talaga ulo nyo. ako nga sobra hinayang, magcacanvass ako ng hub harap at likod, pag pasok sa budget e magconvert ako, palit na rin ng bagong drum. harinawa!

erase erase ang convertion project, madugo pala yung likod dahil buong axle ang papalitan dahil assembly pala kasama yung hub. yung sa harap e hiwalay ang hub. ang isa ko pang iniisip e kung magkasinglaki ba ang drum brake ng 99 model at 00 model up. very magastos to, stick to original. cheers

master hahanapin ko yung club na rims para sayo meron jan sa tabitabi...
